Michigan Virtual School
For the last 2 school years, PACE Academy has offered an Online Learning component to our Middle School students as an elective special course. Recently the Michigan legislature, under a new law, expanded Student access to any time and any place learning options. Section 21f of Public Act 60 of 2013 allows students in grades 5 through 12 to take up to two courses online per academic term (with parental consent). Michigan is the seventh state in the U.S. to enable statewide choice at the course level through online learning options. If you follow the link below, you will find information concerning the courses that are available to students through the Michigan Virtual University.
Michigan Virtual School partners with your school to offer online courses to students who are ready for any time, any place, any pace learning. Since the year 2000, MVS has worked with nearly 700 schools so students can remain connected to their local school, participating in sports, band and other activities, while taking supplemental courses online. In this video you’ll hear how taking courses online and in the face-to-face classroom aren’t so different.
With MVS, students can take up to two courses online but still attend their local school. MVS partners with schools to connect students to seven world languages and 21 AP courses. MVS offers:
